Throughout the year, the Los Angeles Kings donate approximately a half million dollars in in-kind and monetary donations to charitable organizations. The Kings look at this as a special opportunity for our team to support non-profit agencies and charitable organizations working to make positive differences in the lives of those in our community.

All monetary donations are given by the Kings Care Foundation, while in-kind donations are provided by the Los Angeles Kings. Donations range from funding, to tickets, to autographed memorabilia. Although it is at the discretion of the Los Angeles Kings to determine what items are donated, when requesting a donation, it is helpful for organizations to specify items they are seeking to best meet the needs of their event.

The following request policy has been developed as a way to create consistency and fairness to organizations that seek support. Priority is given to those located in the Greater Los Angeles area and specifically make a positive impact on children.

All donation requests must be submitted in writing at least eight weeks in prior to the fundraising event. No telephone call, facsimile or email requests will be accepted. If there is a publication deadline or a date by which the donation is needed, requests must be submitted in writing at least six weeks before this date.

Before sending a request, please note the Los Angeles Kings and Kings Care Foundation DO NOT accept items to be signed (any items sent may not be returned), provide items for personal collections/use, contribute to business award incentive programs or donate to organizations soliciting requests on behalf of a third party (all requests must be received directly from the charity).

When donating items or sponsoring an event, consideration is given to the location of the organization, scale of the event, inventory of items available and whether the item(s) will be used in a raffle or auction. Due to the abundance of requests we receive, the Los Angeles Kings are unable to grant all requests and are only able to donate to an organization only once during the NHL season. The Kings fiscal calendar runs from June to June, so a charity will not be granted a donation in January if it received one previously in August.

Written requests must be submitted on organizational letterhead and include:
· Organization's name, non-profit tax ID number and full address (please, no P.O. boxes)
· Contact name and telephone number
· Nature of the event
· Date and location of the event
· How the team's contribution will be used (raffle/prize/auction)
· Number in attendance and how funds raised will be used
· Publication deadline/item "need by" date (if applicable)

Please address requests to:
Community Development Department
Kings Care Foundation
Los Angeles Kings Hockey Club
555 North Nash Street
El Segundo , CA 90245

The Los Angeles Kings will reply in writing to all solicitation letters. Due the high volume of requests the team receives, telephone inquiries regarding donation status are discouraged. All donation decisions made by the Los Angeles Kings are final and will be mailed according to dates of the events and/or dates by which the items are needed.

The Kings look forward to serving our communities where our fans live, our staff works and team plays. We wish all organizations best of luck with their charitable endeavors and salute them for trying to make a difference.;
