Cool Schools
Los Angeles Kings Cool Schools program is not just for schools! Cool Schools aims to show the youth of Los Angeles that hockey does not need to be played on the ice – it can me played in your sneakers as well! Cool Schools brings hockey to schools, community centers and other places where kids can play in safe, structured environments.

To make the game even more accessible, the Kings provide equipment, instruction and a connection to the local NHL team. Once the program is in place, kids just lace up their sneakers and go! Click here for more information on the Los Angeles Kings Cool Schools program.
Kings Partner with Heal the Bay to Keep our Beaches Clean
Not only do the Los Angeles Kings play in the Los Angeles area, they also live here as well. And when you live here, you know the importance of our local beaches. That’s why the Kings have teamed up with Heal the Bay to clean our beaches. Click here more information.
LA Kings Downtown On Ice at Pershing Square
Each year, from November through January, the Kings partner with the Mayor’s office, Council District 9 and the LA City Department of Recreation and Parks to create an outdoor skating rink for everyone to enjoy. This project is Los Angeles’ first outdoor skating rink and we have drawn more than a half million skaters to our miniature version of New York’s Rockefeller Center. As the main sponsor of the rink, the Kings not only donate their money, but also their time, teaching free youth and adult hockey clinics to guests at LA Kings Downtown on Ice.
